Who wrote the Bible and when was it put in writing? – David Harrisburg, PA
Alex discusses his understanding of how the scriptures were written and where God’s influence fits into the scriptures.
In order to answer this question, Alex discusses how he derives his interpretation of scripture from the way Jesus interprets scripture in the New Testament. In essence, Alex sees God bleed through the text in certain instances, where God is able to find find his way through the person writing.
Though this way of interpreting the scripture can be seen as extremely subjective, Alex argues that if one looks at the New Testament as a whole, there are certain themes that ring true again and again. These themes seem to represent the God of love, peace, forgiveness, grace and unity.
In the previous installment, Alex discusses when the Christian scriptures were written down how they came to be in their present form. To watch, click here.
