A native of Nashville, Tennessee, the Rev. Ellen Crawford True received a B.A. in English from Davidson College in North Carolina and an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (now Union-PSCE).  Following graduation from seminary, Ellen served as Assistant Director of Admissions for Union Seminary.  She has subsequently served as Associate Pastor for Campus Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, North Carolina, temporary part-time supply for Shippensburg Presbyterian Church, interim pastor for Middle Spring Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg, and temporary supply pastor for McConnellsburg Presbyterian Church.  Ellen is a member-at-large of Carlisle Presbytery and serves on the Coordinating Council. She lives in Chambersburg with her husband, David True, associate professor of religious studies at Wilson College, and their six-year-old daughter, Abby.
