What door should I enter?
On Sunday mornings all the doors to the church are open. The doors on South Street will take you to the Gathering Place, an area to greet your friends and grab a cup of coffee. The doors on Pine Street will take you into the Narthex and hallway at back of the church. The handicapped ramp on Third Street will take you into the sanctuary. During the week, you should enter the door at the corner of Third and South Streets. The church office will be to your left.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code. Some people dress up, some come in casual clothes, some wear jeans. You will be comfortable whatever you are wearing.

Is the church handicapped accessible?
Yes, there is a handicapped ramp along Third Street that takes you into the sanctuary. Other floors are accessible by an elevator. First floor bathrooms have handicapped stalls.

How long is the service?
The 8:30 a.m. service generally runs about one hour. The 11:00 a.m. service, about an hour and 15 minutes.

What is your worship service like?
Our 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning service is a traditional, liturgical service. The 8:30 a.m. service is less formal, with a more ecumenical feel. Communion is served at both services.

What’s with the bread?
Loaves of home-baked bread are given to visitors after the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services. You will see members of our Bread Ministry team stationed at the doors in the front and rear of the sanctuary. Please accept this gift as a reminder of the One who is “The Bread of Life.”

Is there a nursery?
Yes nursery care is available for infants through age 2. Our nursery is a safe and secure environment, staffed by a professional child care worker. A deacon will be happy to show you to the nursery.

Are children welcome in worship?
Yes! We value the presence of children in worship and they may stay in the pew with their parents. In addition, children ages 3–Kindergarten are welcome to leave after the children’s sermon for a continuation of worship called the Wonder of Worship or WOW. Children return to the sanctuary in time for communion.

Can children take communion?
Yes, baptized children who are being nurtured to understand the meaning of coming to the Table are welcome to participate.

How do you take communion?

At the 8:30 a.m. service, ushers direct people, row by row, to go forward and take communion at the front of the sanctuary.  At the 11:00 a.m. service, ushers pass the communion to individuals in the pews, who partake as it is passed to them.

What if I can’t walk forward for communion?
Stay seated and a deacon will bring it to you in your pew.

Do I have to take communion?
All who are baptized are welcome to the Lord’s Table, but you are welcome to not participate.

How do I become a member?
New Members classes are held regularly, providing those seeking membership an opportunity to learn more about their faith and about the church. For further information about membership, contact the church office or speak to the pastor after morning worship.
