The members of Pine Street Presbyterian Church really embrace the concept of a church as a spiritual family. From welcoming first time visitors to providing friendship and support to their fellow members, I’ve been continually amazed by the generosity and care shown by the church. I have never found a warmer, more genuine congregation and I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful family.

Weekly Communion for me is very moving. I look forward to the “feast” and the reminder that I am loved no matter what. It keeps me focused on what is important and real in my life.

Pine Street’s beautiful sanctuary is a wonderful place to meet God and friends on Sunday mornings. To me the exquisite stained glass windows and gorgeous woodwork, which were donated by past members, are a tangible reminder that we are not the first people to sit in these pews.

Every Sunday, I’m led on a spiritual journey of learning through the messages that are thoughtfully prepared and presented in an intellectual manner through which I’m constantly learning. I find myself understanding the Bible and what it teaches us all at Pine Street each week. In addition, I have a hunger to learn to know and recognize God’s Will for my life. The entire service at Pine Street leads me to a closer relationship to God through the scripture, beautiful music, the responses, prayers and the sermons. Surrounded by the gorgeous stained glass windows and those I care for deeply, I feel God leading me to a better Christian life.

The people of Pine Street take to heart the call to be Jesus’ hands and feet. Members and friends enjoy serving together – whether at Downtown Daily Bread, through Stephen Ministry or on service trips to Arizona and Lithuania – and often find that the act of service is a gift to them as much as it is to those they intend to serve.
