CHURCH SCHOOL SINGERS (Grades K-5)
Meets at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings
Children in grades K through 5 are encouraged to make Church School Singers a part of their regular Church School experience each week. A group of dedicated adult volunteers rotate each week to teach the children our best-loved church and Bible songs, like Jesus Loves Me, Father Abraham, Hallelu Hallelu Hallelujah, and more. These songs were a part of many of our faith formation, teaching us about the church, the Bible, and the world. We want to pass these songs down to the next generation, so each teacher spends time each week making this music part of the children’s lives. All children are welcome!
THE CHANCEL CHOIR (High School and Adults)
Meets from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday evenings
The Choir is Pine Street’s primary choral organization and leads the 11:00 a.m. worship service each Sunday morning from September through May. They also sing at the 8:30 a.m. service on occasion, particularly on Easter, and at other special services such as Christmas Eve Candlelight, Good Friday Tenebrae, etc. In addition, they prepare major musical works for presentation with orchestra … sometimes in a concert setting as part of MAPS (Music at Pine Street) and sometimes during worship. They often collaborate with other area choirs as well. They take on challenging repertoire that enhances worship at Pine Street each week. The Choir is like a family and have a lot of fun together, working on repertoire, vocal technique, musicianship, and spending time together outside of rehearsal as well.
The choir will present a special service of worship on Sunday, December 20 called A Treasury of Carols. We will tell the Christmas story through a series of carols, prayer, scripture readings, and poetry, followed by communion. In addition to favorite carols we will sing as a congregation, the choir will sing some wonderful new carol arrangements by composers Joseph Martin, Mark Hayes, and Pepper Choplin published just last year. They include:
Joy to the World
Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella
How Far is it to Bethlehem?
Ding Dong! Merrily on High!
As with Gladness, Men of Old
Following the service of worship, we will join in a celebratory Christmas Tea hosted by Betty Rader and the Congregational Life team. The cost is $10 for those 12 years and older. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center beginning on November 29.
We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate together the wonderful Christmas Season and remind ourselves of our wonderful Treasury of Carols
HANDBELL CHOIR (High School and Adults)

The Handbell Choir plays an eclectic repertoire of handbell music which is both fun and challenging. High Schoolers and adults are warmly welcome to play in this group. It is an evening of good music and good fellowship around the bells. They play in worship about once a month.
