Pine Street Walkers

This group of Pine Streeters and friends loves to experience the beauty of God's creation. Hikes are on trails and walking paths in and around the Harrisburg area on the first Sunday of the month.  Bring a brown bag lunch, your hiking shoes, and meet after the 11 a.m. worship service at the hike location.  Hike location and sign up are at the Welcome Center.

The Pine Streetwalkers will challenge the trail at Pole Steeple in Pine Grove State Park.  This is the most romantic spot in all of Central Pennsylvania.  You must attend the hike to find out the story behind this designation of the "most romantic spot".  In addition to a great story, the fall colors, if still in full array, will be breathtaking.  Meet at Camp Hill Shopping Mall near the Sovereign Bank at 1 p.m.  We will carpool to the hike site.  Alternate meeting site will be the Pole Steeple trail parking lot in Pine Grove State Park.  Directions available at the CHAMPS information center.  The Harrisburg group should arrive there by 1:45.  This is a very steep trail.  The trail is rocky and rooted and will be slippery with leaves, so be prepared for a real challenge, but the view will be well worth the effort.
