Problems

  • Heavy oxidation in the top sections.
  • Deflection (bulging) indicating failure of the lead.
  • Cracked and broken glass.
  • The Restoration

    • Remove storm coverings.
    • Remove all panels and transport to the studio for Historic Restoration.
    • Insert plywood to seal the openings. It will be painted on the interior and exterior, to complement the colors of the building.
    • Window 1—Replace 4 pieces of stained glass and 4 pieces of painted glass.
    • Window 2—Replace 6 pieces of stained glass and 3 pieces of painted glass.

    Restoration Status

    • Removed for repair September, 2008
    • Returned July, 2009

The date and maker of these windows are unknown. Because of the absence of the mullion which seems to have been in the original openings, it is assumed that these windows were from the installation of 1894.
