The risen Christ is the subject for this window given by Miss Sarah and Miss Ruth Tack in memory of their father, Mr. Nicolas Tack who died in 1937. For many years, he served faithfully as a Deacon and Elder in our church. Central in the window is the risen Christ, standing atop the empty tomb, with the scars of the nails on His hands and feet; He holds a banner of victory in His left hand. His right hand is raised in blessing. To the left is a soldier kneeling, and to the right a soldier standing, both shielding their eyes from the brilliance of His presence. At the bottom, in a circular medallion, an angel sits on the empty tomb, his left hand pointing to the tomb and his right hand to heaven, as if giving the news of the resurrection to the three Marys, who stand at the left. At the top are the Greek letters Alpha and Omega, symbolic of the beginning and the end. Three lilies are in the peak of the arch. The window was dedicated September 19 1943. Originally, it was in the lower north wall of this transept. We are unsure who designed this window, but think it is the work of Henry Lee Willet.
